The community defib team or 'Board of Directors' is led by the Chair and consists of a number of roles including Secretary, Treasurer and staff manager.

Carpet is an Intensive Care Paramedic with many years of paramedicine experience, including responding to many sudden cardiac arrest patients. Having patients responding to defibrillation and sitting up talking minutes after is where the passion and drive for the Defibshop comes from! Currently, Carpet fulfils the roles of Chairman of the Ambulance Provident Fund and has previously held many other roles including Secretary of the Australian Resuscitation Council NSW (ARC NSW) Branch.

Sophie founded the Community Defib Project in late 2018 whilst studying to be a Paramedic at University. In 2020 Sophie received the NSW Ministry of Health's Healthier Communities Award as a part of the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards. Sophie also received Western Sydney University's Woman of the West - Highly Commended Young Woman of the West for 2021. Sophie continues to lead the project dramatically changing the face of public access defibrillation among multiple communities.

Ian is a passionate local community member of the project founding community Wisemans Ferry.
Ian lived in Castle Hill for 25 years before making the 'tree change' to Wisemans Ferry.

Ian is an active member of the Wisemans Ferry RFS to help support the local community and is now joins the Community Defib Project team to continue to make a difference in his local community and beyond..

David has been a member of the RFS for over 30 years. He has lived in or around Wisemans Ferry for the most part of his life. David is currently the Senior Deputy Captain for the Wisemans Ferry RFS and is an active member of the community. David is passionate about making a difference to the area.

Our support staff work part-time to support the Board of Directors & local communities to run the project day to day.
Each local community is responsible for progressing the works of the project within their own local community, with the asssitance from project staff & the community defib team. Local committee details can be found on the 'our communities' page.
