Community Defib Project

MORE THAN THE INSTALLATION

Why join CDP?

A community AED needs people, planning and ongoing support around it.

Build on experience

Access guidance on community planning, suitable locations, cabinets, signage and awareness. CDP helps your local team work through the process.

Keep local ownership

Your Team Leader and committee bring knowledge of the area and decide local priorities with CDP. The project grows with your community.

Plan beyond installation

Monthly checks, expiry monitoring, replacement consumables and funding all need attention over time. Agree a support arrangement before the AED is installed.

When an AED has been accessed

Report access to CDP so the team can coordinate follow-up, servicing and replacement consumables. Spare units are subject to availability.

Where project funding goes

Community fundraising and project support help establish, promote and maintain AEDs, and sustain the coordination behind the network.
